Job Description: The function of the Night Auditor is to Audit, balance and report on the various areas of the resort (e.g. food & beverage outlets, rooms/front desk, spa, etc.) to provide accurate, timely information and to ensure OEHG policies and procedures are followed and to prevent fraud. It is also to assist guests during the hours of 11:00 pm and 7:00 am with any issues or requests. Position includes, but is not limited to: Audit, balance, post room charges, phone calls, zero balance folios, corrections, adjustments, taxes, disputed charges, over/short figures, deposits, etc. to ensure accuracy and verify proper cash handling procedures are followed. Audit, balance and prepare, verify and report on information to rooms management with a picture of how they are performing. Prepare and input statistics and income journal sheets for preparation of daily reports. Run night audit final after insuring all revenues are in balance nightly.
Qualifications: Excellent understanding of the audit process. Knowledge, or ability to learn the SMS operating system as well as a good understanding of everyday computer skills with Microsoft products.
This position also requires excellent customer service skills to interact with guests and staff. A neat appearance and outstanding communication skills are essential.
The Night Audit position is an overnight position working from 11:00 pm to 7:00 am. It is basically a 32 – 40 hour per week position. Our hotel is open 365 days per year, 24 hours a day, so candidate must be available to work weekends and holidays when necessary.
